Well, that said, it doesn't make me feel any better. I am working my way through a mound of clothing. It's funny, I don't like to iron, but I want my clothing to look like it has been cared for.
I play a little game with myself. I say, "Do ten items, then you can reward yourself with a break, a cup of coffee, look at some blogs, have lunch, etc." That works most of the time.
Well, enough of a break for now. I need to get back to work. I make myself do these household tasks before I get to "play" - in the form of sewing, quilting, or a new project that I want to do.
I always said - "We are awfully dirty, or awfully clean to have this much laundry"
Ha! I like your 'reward yourself' idea... I'll have to try that the next time. :) ~Rachel
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know that even you hate ironing! I hate it as well and usually put it off till we have nothing to wear. Lately I've been better about staying on top of it, but it's just no fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm not big on it either, but there are those who are, for example...Terri. She has (or had) a job ironing for someone and she said it was really nice to get paid for something she likes to do!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to sign my name...Sonja
ReplyDeleteI cheat most of the time, I spritz the cloths with a little water, then throw them in the dryer for 10 or 15 minutes, and voila, it looks like it was ironed (most of the time). I too hate to iron. Like your system though!
