Marketing Questions ? ? ?

Do you have a favorite way to market your items?

I have been loosing sleep trying to figure out new ways to market some of my items. One I am going to try is this:
It is a silverplate place setting of all the same vintage pattern tied together. Would you pay $8 for that? I don't know if my prices are too high. I want to put a place setting on an ironstone plate on one of Mr's Farm Style Tables. What do you think? (place setting of knife, fork, spoon, soup spoon)
I love the older vintage silverplate patterns. Some date back to the early 1900's --- that is more than a lifetime for some of us.

The older patterns are so pretty. This one is "Gardenia", 1941 by Rogers & Sons.

So, what do you think? Any suggestions? I am open...

  1. Too cute, $8 is not a bad price but you know me, I would ask for less;)

  2. I think it looks great! I would pay $8 easy. Maybe offer a discount on a set of 6 or something though!

  3. Thank you Katie - I never thought of that! Hmm, if you buy 6, get them for $40 or so... that's one free...

  4. I am clueless on the price side of it.. I would pay that though... but I LOVE how you tied them together! That is very eye catching. Do you ship? :)Those would look so cute in my room!!!

  5. I think your presentation is very nice. Re the price - I guess for me it would depend on the condition and how much I liked the set. At a local flea market, we see silverplate for $1 a piece regularly. If it was a pattern I wanted and couldn't find - the price would be super. Thanks for your recent post on my blog too.

  6. I love this pattern! I bought a partial set in it's original case at a local thrift store for about $30. The dinner forks were missing, but I found them on Ebay. We've been using them for nice dinners for a few years now.
